SOCIAL PREP

Here are a few pointers when preparing social posts. The suggested file dimension specification for each type allows for optimum resolution on high-density displays (such as Apple Retina displays). There is no need to create them any larger because they won’t look any better than the recommended sizes.

Link Posts

A link post is rectangular and has a link associated with it. Be sure to include a social title and message that represents the post.

Ideal image dimensions: 1200 x 630 pixels.

Image Posts

These can vary in size, but we highly recommend that you create them as square images. Be sure to include a social title and comment text along with your image.

Image posts can be an image or have editable regions. Treat editable posts as you would any other template type… including working files, instructions as to what will be editable, etc.

Ideal file dimensions should be at least 1080 x 1080 pixels, but no larger than 1200 x 1200 pixels.

Instagram Stories

Instagram stories typically have a portrait (vertical) proportion.

They can be an image or have editable regions. Treat editable posts as you would any other template type… including working files, instructions as to what will be editable, etc.

Ideal file dimensions should be 1080 x 1920 pixels.
